You’ll see firsthand how sheep and cattle are used to steward the land with intention and care. \n\n\n\nWe’re also excited to welcome special guest Dawn Hnatow of Cattle Up! Stockmanship\, who will lead practical demonstrations and share expert knowledge on working effectively with sheep. Her focus on low-stress stockmanship makes this event ideal for anyone looking to gain confidence and skill in animal handling. \n\n\n\nWhether you’re brand new to grazing or looking to sharpen your stewardship strategies\, this event offers practical insight\, open dialogue\, and an up-close view of real-world regenerative agriculture in action.

DESCRIPTION:The Pre-Convention Training is hosted by Common Ground Producers & Growers. This year and every year we host this training “For Farmers’ Sake”. We acknowledge the farmers’ role in the local food system and make it a point to inform new/beginning farmers and specialty crop growers how to increase production\, be sustainable\, conduct business\, and make the right connections. \n\n\n\nThis year farmers and growers will learn how to navigate these hard times\, how to garden differently\, marketing\, how to create a value added product\, and more. \n\n\n\nOctober 31: 1-7:30pm\, November 1: 8am-5pm   Meals are included in the registration price. Hotel stay must be purchased separately.
