SUMMARY:NASA Space for Ag at Flickner Innovation Farm
DESCRIPTION:Flickner Innovation Farm has partnered with the NASA Acres Farm Innovation Ambassador Team\, or FIAT. This collaborative program connects farmers and crop consultants directly with NASA researchers to bring satellite Earth observation technologies to agricultural production. Through FIAT\, farmers help design on-farm research and shape satellite data tools to meet real operational needs. \n\n\n\nParticipants will tour Flickner Innovation Farm\, learn how NASA technologies are being applied in agriculture\, and take part in a Lunch and Learn at the Kansas Cosmosphere. \n\n\n\nTentative Schedule \n\n\n\n8:00 a.m. | Load bus at the Hilton Garden Inn in Hutchinson8:10 a.m. | Depart for Flickner Innovation Farm8:45 a.m. | Begin the field tour west of Moundridge11:30 a.m. | Depart for the Hilton Garden Inn12:10 p.m. | Return to the Hilton Garden Inn12:30 p.m. | Lunch and Learn at the Kansas Cosmosphere\, including lunch\, poster presentations\, and time to explore the facilities3:00 p.m. | Event concludes \n\n\n\nParticipants who do not plan to ride the bus may meet the group at Flickner Innovation Farm at 8:45 a.m. The precise field location will be provided by email to registered participants. \n\n\n\nIn the event of inclement weather\, the program will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Kansas Cosmosphere\, where all activities will be held.
